Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Pest Pro ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit pestpro.store (the "Site") or buy our products. We act as the data controller for the personal information collected through the Site.

• Order data: name, shipping & billing address, email, phone, items ordered.
• Account data: email and password if you create an optional account.
• Support data: messages you send us through the contact form, email, or chat.
• Reviews & user content: ratings, comments, photos you submit.

Information collected automatically

• Device & usage: IP address, browser type, device model, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent.
• Cookies & similar tech: see section 5.

We do not collect full payment card details. Payments are processed directly by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.), and we only receive a token confirming the transaction.

How we use your data

We use the data above to:

• Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping and customer support;
• Provide warranty service and handle returns;
• Operate and improve the Site, including security and fraud prevention;
• Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates);
• Send marketing communications if you opt in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Display reviews and testimonials you submit;
• Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing & third parties

We share personal data only with service providers needed to operate the Site and deliver your order:

• Shopify Inc. — e-commerce platform & hosting (Ottawa, Canada).
• Payment processors — Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
• Shipping carriers — USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and equivalents abroad.
• Email & support tools — Klaviyo, Gorgias or similar (transactional emails, helpdesk).
• Analytics & advertising — Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel (if enabled).
• Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights.

We never sell your personal information.

Cookies & tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:

• Essential — keep your cart and login session; cannot be disabled.
• Analytics — anonymous usage statistics so we can improve the Site.
• Marketing — measure ad performance and show relevant ads (only if you consent).

You can manage your cookie preferences through the banner at the bottom of the Site or via your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

California residents (CCPA): you have additional rights to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain order and account data for as long as needed to provide services and meet our legal obligations (typically 7 years for tax and accounting). Support tickets are kept for 3 years. Marketing data is deleted once you unsubscribe.

Security

We rely on Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure to host the Site and protect payment data. We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypted databases, and restricted internal access. No system is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard measures to protect your information.

Children

Our products and Site are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

International transfers

We operate from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to safeguard such transfers.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be announced on the Site or by email if appropriate.
